With new beauty products launching all the time, it can be hard to keep up. But every so often, one product will cause a stampede of shoppers desperate to get their mitts on it.
Sephora has revealed that Biossance’s Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel is getting just that kind of reaction.
Biossance, a natural skincare brand, has seen success with previous products, thanks to its miracle ingredient squalance, a plant-derived version of squalene, which works to provide a boost of moisturisation, as well as soften and smooth the skin without irritating it.
But nothing could have prepared the brand for its launch, as the eye cream is constantly selling out on the Sephora website since its initial stock date in March.
Speaking to , Caroline Hadfield, senior vice president of Biossance’s parent company, Amyris, said, ‘We launched in March and have sold out four times since.
‘We had four units left in our own Biossance.com stock on Thursday.’
Sephora reps also confirmed to Allure that it was having difficulty keeping the product in stock.
So what makes this unscented eye gel so special? According to , this product is good for any skin type and works to reduce puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles.
It adds, ‘This dual peptide, weightless eye gel contains eyeseryl and argireline to reduce the appearance of dark circles by supporting natural microcirculation, and decreases the appearance of puffiness by supporting natural lymphatic drainage. Swiss apple stem cell extract rejuvenates the eye area for a youthful look.’
If you’re eager to get your hands on one, it’s priced at $54 (around £41) and Sephora does ship to the UK.
However – surprise, surprise – the eye gel is currently out of stock. Though Caroline confirmed that more products were sent to Sephora last Friday – so it’s bound to be back soon.
In the meantime, you can sign up to an alerts list, which will email you when it’s available again.
But once you get that email, be quick – we’re sure these eye gels won’t stick around for long!
