Creating the perfect cheese board is a great way to impress your dinner guests, from presenting a beautiful centrepiece to having a mixed selection of cheeses, but if you’re looking to really surprise your friends this autumn, may just have the answer.
The supermarket is launching white chocolate and salted caramel Wensleydale for something different to add to your cheeseboard.
Priced at just £1 and available from 22 November, in time for the festive period, the creamy red tractor farm-assured Wensleydale is combined with a sweet white chocolate and flavours of salted caramel for an unusual twist on the popular cheese.
It’s not the first time British supermarkets have played around with the Wensleydale and salted caramel combo.
Last year, Instagram users spotted the weird-flavoured cheese in Morrisons.
Charlotteamieej shared a photo of the treat on the social media app and wrote: ‘This evening is perfect 👌🏼 #saltedcaramelcheese #cheese #baileys#baileysluxe #hotchocolates #dayoff’.
And in 2015, Waitrose released what it described as a 'sweet & fudgy' Yorkshire Wensleydale with salted caramel. The supermarket’s version even had pieces of salted caramel in the cheese.
Instagram user its_me_daisy_p wrote to Waitrose and said: ‘Please help a girl out! 😧 how am i supposed to squeeze into my jeans when you have invented this?!’
