Inspired by its cult-favourite Hortus Gin range, the Lidl House of Hortus will tour the country throughout late October and November, promising guests an 'immersive and Instagrammable experience'.
And what's even better is that drinks are free, with each guest getting two gin serves while experiencing the gin club. Result!
Starting in the Pink Gin Liqueur Lounge, guests will be available to sample flavours including raspberry, rhubarb & ginger and rose & pomegranate, before heading into the sensory Botanical Garden.
In here they'll learn about gin pairings, while enjoy a serving of either the Hortus Artisan Dry Gin, Oriental Spiced Gin or Citrus Garden Gin.
Finally guests will finish the experience off in the Spirits in the Sky bar featuring a central circular bar and a starry night sky – to enjoy a drink from Lidl’s broader range.
'The nation’s love of gin shows no signs of slowing down, so we've decided to listen to the fantastic response from our customers and take our innovative own-label Hortus range on the road to bring it to the masses,' says Paul McQuade, Head of Spirits Buying at Lidl UK.
'We've placed a huge emphasis on strengthening and diversifying our ever-growing spirits range, we want to make sure the nation knows that we’re the "go-to" destination for spirits.'
Beginning on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October at 19 Greek Street in London, the gin tour will then head to Queen Street, Cardiff on Friday 2 - Sunday 4 November and then to Castle Street in Edinburgh on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November.
But make sure you book yourself a free ticket, as you must be signed up to a slot before turning up. But if free gin is on the cards, you can sign us up!
