The perfect clothes to hygge in

We've found the perfect clothes you need to achieve ultimate hibernation levels

The danish concept of 'hygge' has been hugely popularised over the last year, with the release of books such as How to Hygge: The Secrets of Nordic Living and The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well.

The concept of hibernating during the colder months, cosiness and embracing family and community time over good food, has been around for ages in the Nordic countries, but only wormed it's way around to us last year. Showing us how to turn cosiness into an art form, and how to not just survive winter, but truly embrace it.

Further lifestyle trends have since developed in our quest to find happiness in life, like 'lagom' - the Swedish wellness trend which is all about balance, and now 'ikigai' - the Japanese concept of finding the secret to a long and happy life. And despite being all for finding new paths to contentment, now that winter is round the corner once more, we'll be returning to our favourite cosy 'hygge' trend - complete with cashmere cardigans, wood-smelling candles and woollen slipper socks.

From high street heroes Zara, H&M and Boden, to luxe loungewear brands Mint Velvet, Theory and The White Company; we've found the best brands to help you hygge this winter.

Staying in has never looked so chic!
